How To help Someone

when someone you care about is considering suicide here are some helpful tips.

*Remain calm and controlled
*Be patient
*Think of words before you speak
*Do not sound shocked by the persons suicidal thinking
*Never argue with the person's emotions
*Be flexible
*You're not trying to solve their life problems
*Do not promise to keep secrets
*Do not remain the only one helping, get other resources
*Help and discuss the problem
*Ask direct questions
*Focus on the main issue
*Explore possible alternative solutions
*Reduce pain, pressure, and agitation
*Refer the person for further evaluations
